Let me start out by saying I am a registered democrat. In Utah. We had our last county wide meeting in a phone booth at Clark's restaurant. That being said, I gotta tell you, I am honestly worried about the state of the GOP. The only way that Bush's numbers could get any lower is if it came out that he personally killed that goat at the SONY party last week.

We've had a number of years in the USA where one party dominated everything. Nothing, and I mean, nothing good came of it. Back and forth, give and take. Debate and rebuttal, thats the way ideas are bought and sold in this part of the world.

President Bush has done more to undermine the republican party than any single person I can think of.  You'd think I'd be happy about that, but in all honesty, I'm not.

Bottom line, I'd hate to see the Democrats become as obstinate and as power hungry as I've seen the other guys lately. I want to see both houses of Congress shouting at each other across the isle, and then listen to us, and then tell us why we're wrong. And then sit down and fix the mistake they made before. Congress is a work in progress. Single party congresses spend no time on the fine tuning.  I'm one of the first to joke about Congress, because when they are doing their job right, it looks like an experiment involving chimpanzees and large  volumes of  gin.  But the truth is, we live in a world where todays solution may be tomorrows problem, and public discourse is how these thing get out.
