A friend of mine just sent me a chain email regarding Oliver North's testimony before the senate. The letter claims that North named Ben Laden as a threat even then. The doubting Thomas on the senate side was Al Gore.  Ironically, the letter was headed with, "Do you remember this?"

I remember, yes. Ben Laden was never mentioned, and Gore was not on the committee.  I told as much to my friend, who has yet to respond. I told her that the person who wrote this didn't give three dip sticks about 9/11.
Someone who thinks that distorting and misrepresenting a fact is more important than truth.

I agree that at this time of year, it is important to look back on this event and vow "never again."but this is an issue that can stand on it's own truth, without resorting to falsehoods.

The person who started this message floating around is either a evil liar or on ignorant piss head.
